Frequently Asked Questions
We've heard there are new laws against bringing firewood to certain locations in Michigan and that there are large fines - can I bring my own firewood?
Please check the State of Michigan site for the latest updates to the rules about bringing firewood to this area (Menominee County).

I like to do seasonal camping - how long can I keep my camper in a site?
Per our license, you can camp in a site for up to 30 days in a row. There isn't a dump station here, so you are responsible for properly disposing of your waste.
Where do I get water?
There is drinking water at the well house near the entrance. This can not be used to fill tanks on campers (sorry, it's part of the license of a rustic campground).
What rules are there regarding having a fire?
All fires must be in the provided fire ring and must be attended at all times. Extinguish the fire before checking out.
You may pick up any wood that is already down (there is PLENTY of that). Any standing wood - dead or not - may NOT be cut.
What are the "Quiet Hours" ?
Please keep your voices and music down from 11pm CST until 8am. The sound can really carry far when it's as quiet as it is here. Thank You!
Is there a speed limit in the campground?
The speed limit is 10 mph and the road is one-way.
What about Pets?
I'd like to bring my pet with me - what pets are allowed?
We understand that your pets are part of your family too! Up to two animals such as dogs and cats may be at your campsite with you. All pets must be contained at all times, such as on a leash.
Please clean up after your pets. If your animal is too noisy, you may be asked to remove them. No refund will be given.
